Works great! If you have never dethatched your lawn before, you’ll be in for a surprise using this dethatcher. I was surprised at how much “stuff” came out when I dethatched my front lawn the first time. It’s a small front lawn, but there was enough material to fill four mower bags!It is best to do this when the soil is just a little moist, or a little to the dry side. The dethatching wires don’t work well in mud! After dethatching, your lawn will be covered by the brown thatch. A lawn mower…

really works I questioned whether this would work like in their video. It does, I would say even better than the steel bladed dethatchers I have rented. Although the mantis takes much longer to cover the same amount of lawn.The biggest problem is the duribilty as the tines bend quite easily.

Just Right for 1/2-acre Lawn Just used the Dethatcher Attachment with my Mantis Electric Tiller (I highly recommended the electric tiller as it is MUCH quieter than the gas tiller) and it did the job thoroughly and with ease. Just go over your lawn in two different directions (e.g., do each section of your lawn in a north-south pass, then an east-west pass) and your thatch is gone! I’ve found that you can dethatch the whole yard going in a forward direction (much less physically taxing) if you simply make the Mantis go…
