decent carburetor for the money and not too many options as the oem is no longer available
4:59 pm Friday product This was a good replacement carb for a B&S 14.5hp engine. I used the old carb idle screw and mix screw settings to set it up and it worked fine. Just screw both of the old carb screws all the way in while counting the turns (or quarter or half turns that it takes) and then use those numbers to set your new carb. Adjust from there if needed. The hose that comes with it seems pretty flimsy -it is not reinforced and I l doubt it will last too long, just replace it with a good hose. Hopefully the…
I installed the carburetor on a 14hp Briggs and Stratton engine.I turned the gas and ignition on.The carburetor leaked gas.I took the carburetor off’,took it apart and saw the upper gasket had been assembled incorrectly, damaged and useless.There was a small piece of white plastic in the bowl that was the same color as the float.The carburetor repair kit cost more than half the price of a new carburetor.I reassembled the carburetor as I had found it and sits on my work bench awaiting a new…
