Spins it , starts it i HATE string trimmers!!! they are such a pain to start- squeeze primer, set choke, pull cord X times, go to half choke , pull some more, then it floods, take apart and use starting fluid, then try to reassemble air cleaner while running, nit letting it stall- what a pain in the… So i decided to try this- yeah, the manufacturer makes you buy this since the end of the shaft exposed is a weird pentagonal thing- but it IS worth it- spins the motor & starts right up, without messing up…

saved my trimmer! I was ready to buy a battery operated trimmer as I was about to give up. the 4 cycle troy bilt trimmer has been a REAL PAIN to start. The trimmer is not event that old but starting seemed to be better the warmer the trimmer was. Well, onto the product review. .
