Installation instructions on Utube are all shown with the mower deck off. I f you don’t take the deck off the job is not so easy. You will at a minimum have to take the mower deck belt off of the tensioner and front pulley to get the old belt off intact. Definitely to put the new belt on. Cutting the old belt off is an option but you really need to study how it runs through the frame and around the cooling fan in the rear to school yourself on new belt install.
