Includes 7.2 Amp 14-in GRASSHOG XP Curved Shaft Electric String Trimmer / Edger – GH1000A broad 14-inch cutting swath and a powerful 7.2 Amp electric motor help the Black & Decker Grass Hog XP GH1000 Electric String Trimmer and Edger make edging, trimming, and weed eating easy tasks to handle. This heavy-duty trimmer features a high-torque design and utilizes tough, .080-inch line to offer improved cutting performance and increased dependability over time. It features a Groom’N’Edge head that can be rotated 180-degrees for quick switches between cutting and edging tasks along with Black & Decker’s Automatic Feed Spool (AFS) system, which uses centrifugal force to dispense more line whenever you need it for added predictability and dependability–no bumping required. Also offering the simplicity of electric startups and weighing in at just 6.9 pounds, it’s a well-balanced machine that is truly easy to handle, and you won’t have to contend with the strain that repeated pull starts and heavier tools can put on your body. Other convenient design elements include a flip-down edge guide, adjustments that keep the tool comfortable for users of different heights, and soft grips for improved comfort. Additionally, corded power means your work is never brought to a standstill by a dead battery or an empty gas tank. This tool is backed by a limited 2-year warranty.

recall–get your new parts to fix your issues with this trimmer There is a recall on this product. If you have a black spool cap, you are affected. Getting the new spool and cap fixes all of the complaints I am seeing here. Consumers can find the date code on the underside of the…

Don’t buy. Junk Wear eye protection, long pants and hang on tight. Lots of power but control is difficult. Bought it last September, have used it 7 or 8 times, now motor runs but trimer doesn’t spin. This seems to be a common problem, a real piece of junk. I just used it for very light duty work, purchased to replace an old Sears trimmer that was about 25 years old. Now I am back to using that old Sears trimmer which is a little bulky and isn’t as fancy looking but still does the job. Update, I took it…

My LAST B&D edger…possibly my last B&D anything What happened to the days when a B&D product lasted forever? I still have B&D tools my grandfather bought 30 years ago that work fine. Not so with this product.I have a very small yard. On each of the first 2 uses, I had similar issues as other reviewers with the cap popping off and having to re-wind the spool. Yesterday, this happened repeatedly…again… and about a half-hour into the trimming, the entire mechanism holding the spool just fell off. Upon closer…
