Does the job! After receiving a crazy estimate to trim our Japanese Pear trees, we opted to do the job ourselves. We did it many years ago with a Black and Decker battery pole saw but it took many days and long times in between with recharge times. Good Saw At A Good Price This pole saw does what it’s supposed to do. The chain cuts cleanly and quickly, without a great deal of noise.Assembly is minimal, though I suggest you get on YouTube and watch a Sun Joe tech walk you through installing the chain bar guide and chain. The saw I received came with a box containing the guide with the chain already in place on the guide, and the whole assembly oriented in the right direction. Good saw. Sun Joe a great company. I’m a gas powered lawn tool guy but I wanted to try something I didnt have to crank for a change. Hard to beat for $75 bux. You won’t bog this machine down, it has torque. Used it to cut up some pignut hickory I had on hand and it ran right thru it. It’s a little heavy, doesn’t extend all that far, and the side teeth are fairly pointless but for the price, it is a nice tool.That said, the machine came without a bar.
