My husband had this mower for 8 years and it … Mower is fine, Kohler engine never starts. I have used it for less than 50 hours and I think it needs a complete engine overhaul. Even with stabilizer fuel, I have tried changing plugs and blowing out carburetor, but I still cannot get it started – contact Kohler regarding their ‘guaranteed to start’ engine and they won’t respond.Also there is a very thin spring along the governor that got snagged on some leaves of a shrub and ripped it off. My husband had this mower for 8 years and it is still running. I believe he never had to pull the cord more then twice. It is just this year that the self propelled has gotten slower and rear wheels starting to wobble. Yes the bag can get clogged with wet grass and we have a very wet backyard. The only thing he has replaced over the years is the Oil, Spark Plug, Air Filter, Blade and belt. Being that the self propel is slowing down and the wheels need replacing, he doesn’t think it is worth…
