damn, its brand new just purchased this mower. first time use, 10 minutes into it, and damn, the back left wheel broken off at the central hub. after inspection of the wheels, the hub is made of quite thin plastic and was simply poorly designed to handle grass cutting. snapper cut corners with these wheels. that is correct, i was on an even grade, with no pot holes, or other types of obstructions that would cause the wheel to break off. the engine is powerful and the self propelled strong. i just can’t get…
Pitiful wheels I just received my mower. One wheel was already broken in shipping. I have owned Snapper mower products for years. Unfortunately, cost cutting measures have caused Snapper to cut too much in the area of wheel construction. The mower sits flat on the bottom of the box during shipping. The wheels are attached. Great mower for the money. This mower is like going from a GEO to a BMW compared to what I was using. Then again when Briggs and Stratton owns a product like they due snapper you’re in good hands.The engine runs strong when it comes to cutting high grass with very little to no struggle at all thanks to it’s powerful 7 foot pound torque engine.
