Worked great on cub cadet LT-1042 Installed starter and so far so good ! Thanks ! The original starter failed within first 2 years without obvious cause and with minimal use . Our primary mower is a 21 H.P.craftsman that has been remarkable without any problems at all. The Kohler motor is on an Ariens tractor We purchased from the Home Depot Hope and the blade engagement lever is horrendously hard to engage when starting the motion of the deck blades and the home Depot said that was normal . Was compatible on my Cub Cadet LT1042 with Kohler command 19HP engine. Had to disconnect battery, remove old one, then carefully place this one in. Note that the tab that sticks up has to go towards the engine block. Save all the hardware from the previous one during de-install as you may need to reuse some of it.Note – I tried refurbishing the old one and it lasted a few weeks, it wasn’t worth the trouble. I can’t find a brush kit for the old one, it’s not worth the trouble – just…
