Works Great! I purchased this to keep my dogs in, I have a “Houdini” pup that kept getting out. Very frustrating, not to mention terrifying when he was gone with another one of my pups for several hours in coyote country … No more since I put up a double strand wire fence and hooked this box up to it. My yard is close to an acre so this box has plenty of “juice” to keep my pack safe and soundly in their yard. Easy to set up, I use a car battery which I recharge about every two weeks and…

Works perfectly I have been using this electric fence controller for about four months now and it has worked perfectly ever since I first wired it up. I am using it with polywire for a dog pen, and it works very well. I have not tried it with large livestock, but it can certainly give quite a shock, (I know because I accidentally tested it myself. 🙂 The output pulses, giving a short shock approximately every 1½ seconds. Remember that you will need some 20 kilovolt insulated wire to connect this…

up and running for 2 months Up and running for a few months. I did use a 6 v battery and the voltage tested at a weak 4000v. I switched to a 12v battery, and it lights up my tester much brighter and tests to the max of 5500v. Since my goal is to deter Wisconsin black bear I want the stronger shock. I have it mounted on a post with a pickle bucket over it, and a 2 watt battery maintainer solar panel on a small mower battery. It could be a good thing that the 6v battery put out less of a shock, maybe used for smaller…
