Updated review, 04/02/2016, I found out the correct way to install this. Update 04/02/2016: New update. Yes, I am a glutton for punishment and bought another one. This time was different, I have instructions. So now I know that these are missing a very important part to keep it from falling apart. Fist of all, they are missing the pin and nut which attaches to the mower deck and you attach the rubber strap to it. I don’t know if sellers are intentionally leaving this out so you have to buy it separately, or not. I have seen sellers including this hardware. The…

Does what it’s designed for when properly installed. The plug is designed to SNAP into place and a rubber strap is used to prevent it from getting thrown if it gets knocked off much in the same way a surfboard is attached to your leg with a strap. Since it came without instructions, it took a few minutes to figure out how to install it. Mine came off in the first 5 minutes when a rise in the lawn caught the bottom mounting clips. 10 minutes later it came off again when a large clump of grass pushed it outwards and broke off one of the clips…

Works great after a minor adjustment. There are a couple of issues to keep in mind with this product.First, the mower deck has to be clean, at least where the plug attaches. Dried out grass and debris packed into the channel at the bottom of the deck will prevent the plug from snapping fully into place. You may be able to anchor it with the attached rubber strap, but it’ll likely “leak” around the edges and the mower will probably throw it off eventually, and you might end up running over and shredding…
