OK first and foremost this DOES NOT FIT a Predator 173cc VERTICAL SHAFT engine. It might fit other Harbor Freight replacement engines, however it DOES NOT fit that particular model. I bought this to replace a recoil starter for that engine because the description said it did. It will engage the flywheel correctly, however the mounting holes will not line up with the mounting posts on the engine. The holes are just not far apart enough to engage the studs.It is however very well…
