Pricey Performance I purchased this not from Amazon but from a local store and have been pleased with my purchase. Before this machine I owned a push Craftsman machine with a B&S engine that gave many years of good service.This Honda mower is a much, much better mower than the old Craftsman. Mower gets clogged of grass cutting once a week. Nothing to set up. Just add the included oil, then add gas and it is ready. More importantly, it runs like a dream. The ability to engage the drive with or without the blades turning is very helpful to get the mower from the garage to the garden, or across paths etc. likewise, keeping the blades running while stopping the wheels, is also very useful for repositioning the mower. Electric start would be a plus, but the mower always seems to start on first pull, and so it is not necessary…

The mower starts up beautifully on one pull. The issue I have is that I normally cut the grass once a week with the height setting in the middle for the mower. I have tried cutting the grass with mulch turned all the way off, in the middle, and all the way on. And most of the time the mower gets clogged of grass where I have to clean it after 100′ of cutting. The mower also leaves a heavy grass trail.
