OK for flower beds. It would be hard to … We Bought this for my Mom for Mother’s day. Her’s was stolen from her Garage so we kids all pitched in to buy her another just like the one stolen. She purchased her first one ( Same Model) from a John Deere Dealer It was stronger and could dig better even though it was the same make and model in the 2 years since thing have changed on the new model.It’s OK for flower beds. It would be hard to use for bigger jobs like putting in New Garden and Flower beds that you would need to till up…

A bit more expensive, but worth it… Excellent compact tiller with the usual Honda ease-of-starting. It has a primer bulb to load the carburetor, and if used per instructions, the engine will start cold the first or second pull. Hot-starting (without the choke or priming) is almost always first pull. Most people comment how quiet the engine is…much easier on the ears than 2 cycles.
