Its all about convenience… I had an edger that was electric powered and that did the job of edging my driveway. Very impressed! I had been using a combination of the Greenworks 40v single-string weeder/edger combo and a Black & Decker electric corded edger to poor effect. The weeder auto-feed mechanism simply never worked from day one, so about every 20-30 feet of weeding I had to turn it off, flip it over, and manually pull out some more string. Edging was nearly impossible with that device because the concrete would eat the string up so quickly I would have to manually pull it out every few feet, so I bought the B&D…
Worked only on LOW speed which is somewhat useless. I bought this for my 40V GreenWorks power head and it worked… on LOW speed. Once I switched to HIGH speed (necessary to really move the grass clippings) the power head shut down after a couple of seconds. I tried it with and without any nozzles attached and the same thing happened. This is a brand new power head and battery and the battery had three of four power LEDs lit when I started using the blower, so I doubt it’s a weak battery. It just seems like the power head encountered…
