Greenworks 40v Chainsaw Based on previous reviews, I expected a lot from this chainsaw, and I was not dissapointed. I expected it to not cut too smooth on small branches, so as someone else suggested, I also ordered an Oregon S45 chain. I only plan to use it for small branch trimming, If I want to do heavy work, I will start up my gas chainsaw.With the new chain, it does a great job on the smaller branches. I did try it on an 8″ tree laying in my yard, and it did a reasonable job on the trunk. On the small…

Problem I have other greenworks tools. Looks like a great tool, and I hoped that it would be. It will cut a piece of wood like in the demo videos. Sure is a lot better than a hand saw. And you don’t have to breath exhaust. My intent is to use it to cut dead limbs off trees. The motor has plenty of power to do so. But after a few cuts the chain will stop and the motor keeps running. I believe this is a design problem with the transmission. I hope they can fix the problem in the next model…

After some problems, so far very pleased The first one I ordered (tool only) didn’t operate due to the chain drive slipping (I see others have had this problem). I called GW and they sent me a replacement, WITH a battery and charger. Said “keep the other one for parts”. So, I’m ahead by a solid value.
