One of the best buys on amazon. Must have. I recommend this product to anyone who frequents camping or outdoor activities. The reason for this being a must have is the length, the finesse, and the efficiency. This axe I remember is 24in or so, first off I could never imagine anything shorter than this. I am a tall guy at about 6.2ft so the idea of having a 1ft long comparing hatchet is terrible because that means having to hunch over whatever you’re cutting, this Fiskars allowed for enough length to really get so leverage and swing…

Compared to Estwing Camp Axe… I use this axe a lot– sometimes daily– to chop down snags and clear dead branches. It’s the third Fiskars axe I’ve bought, and it’s the one I use most often.The edge is built for chopping, but it’s a little too fine for some hard dry limbs. Anything above an inch in diameter runs the risk of folding the edge if you’re aim isn’t sure. I figured this out after my nephew used a the Fiskars hatchet.
