Fiskars needs improvement. I returned the first pair of these anvil pruners after realizing how poorly strengthened the blade handle is. While pruning small branches (1/8″) these pruners work fine. Ask them to cut larger diameter branches up to 3/8″ and the blade of the pruner misaligned with the anvil enough to cause the blade to pinch and grab the anvil as it attempts to cut. Well made tool It is well made and the hinged opening gives a wider mouth to cut stems. The handle is hard with a soft black covering. I expect it to hold up to daily use. It is average size, a little smaller than my other ones.
