Appear to be genuine. These starters will run forever – it’s these plastic gears (that are designed to be the point of failure) that go…I have run across many of these Briggs starter gears that were cheap knock-offs, made of softer material. These appear to be the real magilla. My ONLY complaint (and not related to these gears) is the crappy “c-ring” design on recent starters – which has made gear replacement (a routine occurrence) a real PITA compared to the older pin design.
