Updated review Update****While I still agree this is easier than using a vacuum and hose, I got a new pump (sand) this summer and found the vacuum problem originated from my cartridge filter pump. It simply was never strong enough to provide much suction. Looking back I would have not purchased this but invested the money in a better pump and turn an hour’s work into a few minutes. While it is great for small jobs, it is doesn’t replace an effective pump with vacuum suction.Original review…

It really DOES work! Love this little thing! Believe me when I say I was a little hesitant to purchase this vacuum. We have a 36′ round (yep, I said 36′ round…it’s huge!) above ground pool. We used the automatic vacuum that came with the pool…useless. Then we bought the little, yellow bug vacuum. Super cute, worked a few weeks and never again. Made our own out of PVC pipe; it did OK. I figured I didn’t have much to lose so I bought it.Upon delivery, I was surprised how small it was. It looked and felt like a toy. Read…
