powerful engine, works for regular yard cleaning job I was expecting this chipper to fall apart or stop working within a few hours of use. But no, it is very study. The engine is very powerful, 3in is not a problem as long as it is on full throttle. Like other review, the flywheel/impeller is unbalanced. The vibration is very large at hull throttle. It needs something around 20-30 lb to stabilize the movement. Also the top shredder does not work very well. Some small branch falls out untouched. One star is gone because right after I purchased it…
Minor issue … but still 5 stars. My unit arrived with several missing pieces of hardware (nuts, bolts, knobs, etc.) Turned box and packing inside-out looking but they simply were not included. Was able to source them from a home store for less than $30. Other than that issue, the assembly was easy and the unit starts easily and runs great and seems to have plenty of power. I will primarily use the side chute for limbs and found when feeding the very largest of limbs (3″) you do need to feed them a bit slowly at first until…
Great initial experience! I was very pleasantly surprised by this unit. First, it was extremely well packaged – some of the best packaging I’ve seen. There was one small screw that had backed out during shipping, which I found in the box and quickly replaced. Minor assembly was required and was very simple, and all the hardware was present, with nylock nuts or lock washers on all the fittings.
