Powerful enough to easily blow a lot of three-inch Douglas Fir cones ahead of it. I bought this item about a month ago and I am entirely pleased with the purchase. While shopping I wondered if 40-volts would be enough, or if I should pay for an 80-volt leaf blower. This 40-volt unit has worked well. I live under Douglas Fir trees, and it blew several years of accumulated debris off my roof quite well. After loosening moss on my roof with a board this machine blew all that debris off too. We already have the SnowJoe cordless snowblower, and now we have an interchangeable 4.0 Ah battery.A couple weeks ago, when it was 10 degrees, I used it to actually blow snow off the sidewalks.
