Buy it even though it should have been an included accessory . . . What’s a vacuum without a hose? I must have a point there given the fact that the vacuum itself is depicted with the optional hose attached. Nevertheless, the hose kit is pretty essential for the kind of cleanup I envisioned when purchasing the vacuum. It allows me to get everything I wouldn’t otherwise can’t with a unit this size. Don’t waste Your Money – Trust Me I bought a new self-propelled Billy Goat with the Honda engine and built in wood chipper. The hose kit I bought separately was a waste of money. The bracket that accepts the intake end of the hose kit (part that has the telescoping handle on it) does not hold its position in use. Due to the length of the telescoping handle and its weight, the handle wobbles around big time while you walk with the vacuum.
