Comparable to OEM blades.. I bought a pair of these for my 42″ Craftsman lawn tractor (model 917.28822) to replace a set of OEM mulching blades that could no longer be sharpened due to not enough edge left and the fact one was bent. It would have cost me $7 per blade to have the old ones sharpened, these blades were inexpensive at only $16 for the pair. Please note that these are the star hole blades that have 5 slots; there apparently is a star hole blade that has 6 slots also that is used on some Craftsman lawn…
Nice blades but did not fit my 42″ Sears Craftsman mower Each Spring I purchase new blades for my Craftsman 27398 42″ 20 HP Riding Mower. I do this because usually by late Fall, the blades have fulfilled their use after mowing my 3 acres of weeds every 2 weeks for 6 months.
