Made in US as of 2018-07 real Kohler part. I wanted to save some money and bought an imported coil for about 1/5 the price of this one. Some import stuff is just fine, but apparently coils are not! The first problem I had was the coil was mounted upside down. I am not sure if that would have affected the timing, but I was able to get it fixed with some shop work. The big problem is the import coil was not hot enough to fire. You could barely see any light on the dpark plug tester and no visible or audible spark when checking the plug…
For full price it was a legit part and worked after I bolted it on, set the air gap, and put on the plug boots. The old one was having issues after getting up to temp not sparking, check the coils, the Ohms were out of range (open).Build quality looked pretty good, these are New parts, not NOS date code was from either 2017 or 2018. Has the plugs leads and ends installed from factory. This is the same component I’ve seen from other places that wanted over $240 for it.Fit…
