Poor mower for grass catching!! A big waste of money if you want it to catch grass. I don’t know who engineered the SP 80 model but the grass catcher is useless for even dry grass. Power is not enough to blow dry grass clippings to the back of the bag. I can never get a full bag before having to stop and empty it because clippings are blowing out the bottom of mower. Also, there is a cup like item on the rear discharge door that collects cuttings and when you remove the grass catcher grass cuttings drop onto the trailing…

I upgraded to this mower when I moved into a house that had about an acre of yard. I wanted a self propelled mower and after a lot of research I ended up getting this one. I didn’t buy it from amazon as walmart sells it for $100 cheaper, I ordered mine online. Assembly was simple, not as simple as my husqvarna 5521p was but easy enough. I don’t use the bagger since mulch is better for your lawn and i’m not about to bag an acre of lawn clippings. This mower really works great and saves my back…
