Saw-eet! Just put oil in it and start sawing! I used this chainsaw to cut up a large dead limb that came down from an ash tree in our front yard after some thunderstorms rolled through town. I did the job in my driveway, and this saw did great. Chain tension wasn’t an issue, as I checked it after each cut, and the chain just ripped through the tree limb like a boss. No chain oil comes with this saw, but any hardware store will have it.I considered a Stihl gas chainsaw, but couldn’t justify…
Big time pleased! This saw is awesome! I have it for a year now, and just replaced the chain for the first time and I have been cutting down some large trees and chopping them up. I have not had any problems whatsoever and if you have electric box and an extension cord this is a much better choice than fiddling with a gas saw. Five stars for Earthwise’s customer service since they sent me a new chainsaw, BUT . . . three stars for the saw. Here’s why: Put oil in, no oil comes out. Ever. Not while it’s sitting around and not while it’s running. This would save on oil, but ruin the saw. Both saws have exactly the same problem, which appears to be a completely different problem than that observed by others, namely, oil leakage.
