Received used items that did not fit without modification package was previously opened, however I decided to keep it as all items were present. The plug was designed to fit my troy-bilt bronco 2007/2008 mower with 42″ deck, however it did not fit out of the box, and I had to carve away at the plastic edge of the mulch plug for it to fit. Once you’re able to insert the plug it’s a tight fit. it came with 2 sets of metal skirts, one for 38″ and one for 42″. My mower had the holes predrilled and installation went fine with a socket…
Fit Cub Cadet Series 1000 Perfect This item fit our Cub Cadet Series 1000 Tractor with ease. Ours has the 42″ deck. I don’t like the one bolt design on the plastic plug but it seems to work. The metal parts fit and bolted right on just perfect. You must have a fairly straight not bashed up deck for these kits to work right. Simply move all your tree stumps to a different location! This review is of the overall workmanship of the product. First, the hardware supplied is lousy. The mulch plug (plastic) is held in place with a bolt, washer and PLASTIC wing nut. I recommend taking the bolt to your local hardware store and replacing the wing nut with a metal one… while your there, also buy five nut/bolt/lockwasher sets to use in place of the self tapping screws included within the kit.
