This bagger works great when it is connected and fits properly. I have two separate homes and an mtd riding mower at each location. I talked with MTD on 2 different occasions with my Model and Serial number on the rider I was initially buying this for. I was told this is the proper one for that rider. Unfortunately it did not fit with the supplied parts and the directions were not compatible with that rider. I would have given a very low review, but even thought this was very inconvenient and…

Assembly went pretty smoothly. It was short a few bolts and wingnuts, but I had replacement parts in my shed. Assembled pretty much as the directions indicated, with the exception of mounting the assembled tube over the exhaust. I discovered how to do that entirely by accident. You must first attach the strap to the piece that you screwed into the mower deck, then stretch it so that you can push the plastic opening over the exhaust.
