Parts are always a rip off! I bought the Remington 19″ lawn mower model # 18A-212B783 in 2014. Now it is 2015, that’s one year, and the battery is DEAD. I used it weekly for one summer on my lawn which is only 20 X 50 ft. This year I used it 2 times and noticed the battery was not holding the charge long enough to finish my 20X50 yard. As of June 29 the battery is completely DEAD and will not take any charge. A new battery costs more that $200.00. I will not pay that kind of money for a battery. I am going out…

Ditto to all above. The lawnmower battery is the old lead style, which if not kept charged will degrade and fail. It is also surprisingly heavy to push around. I used the mower maybe 20 times before the battery failed, but the cost of a new battery is prohibitive, which is a shame because the mower is handy with no electric cord or gas to worry about..
