Not all blade adapters are equal, even if they say “Bolens” on the package. After the original blade adapter broke, I went to my local home improvement store to get a replacement. I was assured by the sales person that the one I picked up was what I needed, however, much to my surprise when I went to put it on, it was noticeably shorter.
