Good mower for the right applications I bought this locally reduced, sat at the store for over a year, mainly beause many lawns around here aren’t designed for this type of mower, or maintained for it. I have a lot of highly shaded areas, in which grass grows fine and short. My biggest problem? The rotary mowers generate too much force and tons of dust in these areas. I got to thinking about using a power reel lawnmower as it wouldn’t rip the fine grass out, and wouldn’t stir up the dust. The area is far too big to do with a push…

Mclane 20 reel mower Have to agree with the first review I read. Good reel mower and I have real bad terrain to mow. Everything from slight exposed tree roots, bits of gravel that seem to grow out of no where, various different weeds, Bermuda grass, centipede grass, and cuts without any problems or mishaps. The height adjustment is one and three sixteenths. Sort of time consuming to change it from factory settings to one and three sixteenths. To increase cut to one and a half inches the instructions require a chain…

What do you mean “Customer Service?” The product came on time and was packaged “ok.” It had a few areas where parts rubbed together and chipped the paint off. It cuts like it should and the adjustments for cut heights are easy to use. Now the bad part…. After only using it 3 times, and probably only a total of 1 hour running time, it stopped. When I mean it stopped, it really quit. I think something inside the motor came apart and locked the motor up. Could be serious…. It didnt seize – it “clunked” to a halt…
