Extra length makes cutting easier but adds weight [NOTE: the seller has lumped the reviews for both the loper and the pruning cutter on one page. To be clear, this review is for the cutter]I’ve been a user of Fiskars products since 1968 when I got my first job as a photographer in an art department. Nice sharp pruners and a lifetime warranty! I didn’t realize that a 30″ lopper was longer than the one I was used to (also Fiskars), but it really helped. I was able to cut through 1/2″ branches without even realizing they were there, and 1″ branches required some – but not much – added effort, with no need for fancy Titanium or gears or anything like that. Absolutely love these pruners! Took me a second to realize that I had to push the middle piece up to unlock them. I really like that feature. Easy to just slip it up or down to lock close or to open. Not sure how long that will keep working but, for now it’s great.The handles are very easy in my hands.
