Not the same quality as US made units… I have several pairs of Fiskars scissors that I bought about 10 years ago. When I looked for another pair I knew going in that Fiskars no longer made this scissor in the US, but I hoped that wouldn’t matter. I was wrong.I noticed several differences on the currently-shipping unit:1) Under the logo imprinted on the blade, it no longer says “USA”. awful! I had purchased these to replace my old Fiskar Classic. Those were sturdy and a full 8″. They could rip through any box I needed to open or break down. These new ones are 1/2″ shorter (go figure), very light, has a recycled handle (no problem, except it isn’t sturdy), and the scissors do not fully close. Don’t be Fooled Whereas the old Fiskar 8″ scissors used to be a very high quality product, I was very dismayed to find that this is not the case for the ones they are currently producing. Rather, they are banking on the good name of the past to sell you a low quality product.The main differences – no longer are the blades connected with a steel rivet, rather they are now connected with a cheap screw and plastic end.
