Don’t buy this battery… My son has the John Deere Power Pull Tractor which uses this battery. Due to the numerous complaints about the battery, and because the battery that came with the tractor only lasts about 30 minutes before needing a recharge, I decided to take a different route.

Actually this is a Standard SLA 12volt battery With further research while removing the blue plastic cap, I discovered this is a simple SLA (sealed lead acid) battery. All you have to do is google “SLA battery” and look for 12volt 12Ah (amp hour). They range from 25 to 38 dollars, with several manufactures. (mostly Chinese)Anyway, all you have to do is cut one side of the blue cap band, remove the cap and unplug the harness. Plug the harness into the new battery, add a set of “Battery Tender” terminals, duct tape…

Buyer Beware Battery is way overpriced. Contact Battery Store near you! I did and found this same exact battery type(2-6volt Batteries) for much less. While there they told me I could use a low amp 12v Deep Cycle battery instead. It did take some time wiring (FUSED LINK IS A MUST) but is well worth it. Lasts all day and you can charge it at a 2 amp “trickle charge” with a “amp selectable” car battery charger. All told it cost me less than $60 for everything. It now longer just “Takes Up Space”.
